I’m hands-off for 90% of the wedding day. I give a lot of direction during portraits, but that’ll be the only time I’ll ask you to do anything.
My job is to learn who your personalities, understand why you chose each other and organically find moments throughout the day that will always remind you of that.
You’ll receive your photos in JPEG form via your online gallery within 3 weeks after your wedding on average. Online galleries are hosted for 1 year and you’ll be able to download, share and even print your photos from it. Engagement sessions come with 100 custom save the date cards. And all weddings include an album. You can also purchase prints through your gallery or wall art and parent albums at your design session.
Just let me know which collection you chose with any add-ons, and I’ll send the next steps to you. Everything is taking care of online.
Travel costs apply when I have to fly or drive far distances to weddings. These are calculated before you sign you contract and will be an additional fee on top of your collection. If needed, airfare and 2 nights at a hotel is typically what I ask for.
Another good question! We do, its called the Honeybooth and its pretty sweet. More info here.
They're all great people and badass photographers themselves! Close friends who have had their own photography businesses for at least 5 years. They are fun, down to earth and trustworthy!
Your design session takes place after your engagement session or wedding. We will design your album, wall art or save the date cards together in a streamlined process that has you finished and fulfilled with all of your goodies.

Colin shoots most weddings by himself, sometimes with an assistant. But a 2nd shooter is great to have when it just makes logistical sense since Colin can't be in two places at once!

Over the last few years, I've noticed many more devices being present during wedding ceremonies. I started offering unplugged discounts to encourage more smiling faces and less phone-hands.
• Discounts $100 off any wedding package
• You make an effort to dissuade devices during your ceremony (the rest of the wedding is totally fine!)
Time is the one thing you can't buy more of once your wedding is finished! You can always add more time to your collection at any point before your wedding. More time = more photos = more memories = more of a complete coverage.
• Discounts for 2+ hours added at time of booking.
• Add more time, trust me.
It's pretty standard in the wedding industry to offer a specific number of hours in a wedding collection. I would guess that 99% of wedding photographers structure their packages this way. While I understand why - this doesn't work well for the way I approach weddings.
Being completely documentary based - I want to make sure I am there for all of your most important parts of the day without you ever having to worry about the the thing you can't rebuy once your wedding is over... more time.
It's very common for even the most organized wedding to run late for any reason - city traffic, makeup running late, Aunt Brenda disappearing when she's needed for family formals. The last thing you should be worrying about is those little push backs eating into any amount of my coverage with you.
That's why coverage time is based on events, not actual time. Something runs late? No problem, you know I'm not going anywhere.
